Who are we?

We are the National Contact Point for Industrial and Digital Technologies (NCP DIT). We are a contact point commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) for Cluster 4 in Horizon Europe, the European Commission’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. We support German companies, universities and research institutions in successfully participating in calls for proposals in the field of digital and industrial technologies.

What is a NCP?

National Contact Points (NCPs) are commissioned by the German Federal Government to provide advice on EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation. These include, among others, Horizon Europe (HE). For HE, there is a separate NCP for each programme area (e.g. Cluster 4) as well as for certain cross-cutting themes (e.g. law and finance).

What do we do?

We advise applicants in Cluster 4 (Digitalisation, Industry and Space) of Horizon Europe in the field of digital and industrial technologies, with the space sector being covered by the National Contact Point for Space. We...

  • help you identify suitable funding opportunities
  • assist you in finding partners and setting up consortia
  • provide individual, confidential advice during the application process
  • provide comprehensive feedback on project outlines and project applications
  • answer questions regarding the application process and project implementation
  • organise regular information events in various formats.

Our advisory services are free of charge and confidential.

Who can contact us?

Do you have questions regarding the application process in general, project sketches, identifying fitting topics, finding partners, project design, future calls within Cluster 4 of Horizon Europe? Are you employed by a German company, a German research institution, or a university? – Then please get in touch with us. We provide specific advice on digital and industrial technologies in Cluster 4 and will be happy to refer you to the relevant colleagues for enquiries outside our areas of expertise.

What topics do we advise on?

The NKS DIT consists of Jülich Project Management Agency (PtJ) in the field of industrial technologies and the DLR Project Management Agency (DLR PT) in the field of digital technologies, as well as through subcontracts of the VDI Technology Centre (VDI TZ) and the Karlsruhe Project Management Agency (PTKA).
